Here in Austin, Hotel bars are not just for the tourists! We have some of the most amazing, unique and beautiful hotels (and bars) I have ever seen. I often end up bringing guests from out of town to some of these hotel bars for a classy round of cocktails before I show them Dirty 6th. LOL. Below is a list of my personal favorites, each one has unique characteristics you won’t want to miss!
The Lobby Bar @ South Congress Hotel
Beautiful, bright and modern vibe, great place to dress up! Full Bar, Craft cocktails and snack plates from Cafe No Se. Happy Hour Monday- Friday 5-7:00 pm
Also check them out on First Thursdays! They usually have some type of music and fun things to do before settling down at their beautiful bar
Geraldine’s @ Hotel Van Sandt
Gorgeous bar, absolutely stunning and classy atmosphere. It’s got an upscale vibe, perfect for celebrating special occaisons like a birthday or dinner date! Their Happy Hour is Monday- Friday 5-6:30 pm and they are also open daily for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner!
Bar @ The Driskill
Timeless authentic Texan bar, an austin original- theres so much history!
Make your own decision whether or not you actually think its haunted…
Happy Hour daily 4-7:00 pm, check them out for Wine Wednesdays 1/2 off bottles! Check out their websites for events throughout the year such as High Tea and Holiday Tree Lighting!
They often have great live music, this is my favorite place in austin!
Azul @ The Westin
Rooftop bar, with the BEST view in Austin! It’s a casual dress, poolside lounge perfect for starting out the night before heading out to the bars.
I recommend watching the sunset!
We love to bring friends visiting here for the spectacular view of downtown!
P6 @ The Line Hotel
Gorgeous rooftop bar, perfect for day drinking, stellar views of lake austin! I saw this bar from across the lake and knew I had to find out what it’s like from the top!
Open Thursday through Sunday, truly a unique venue!
Corner @ J.W. Marriott
Aweosme bar, happy vibes, perfect for a sunny day! Something about this bar just makes me smile. Full bar, food menu and lounge area. Happy Hour Monday- Friday 4- 6:00 pm I love that it’s on the corner of Congress and 2nd Street, its the perfect start to Happy Hour. I recommend the Froze and burnt ends.
Visconti Bar @ Hotel Granduca
Italian style, it takes me back to Venice, large selection of wine! I honestly can’t say enough about this hotel, its such a gem and I’m so glad I discovered it. Wind down in the courtyard, If you haven’t been to this hotel on 360, you’re missing out! Happy Hour Thursday 4- 7:00 pm
Lounge @ Hotel San Jose
Beautiful courtyard, perfect for lounging with friends on a sunny day! This is definitely a favorite among Austinites, it has a quaint backyard vibe- theres something about drinking in this environment! Happy Hour Monday – Thursday 12-5:00 pm.
OP Italian @ JW Mariott
Enjoy wines by the glass or signature Italian cocktails like their Blackberry Spritz. Sip and enjoy their stunning veranda- their wine bar and patio bar are open daily! I love their two glasses of wine and one appetizer Happy Hour combo!
Cannon and Belle @ The Hilton
Featuring ATX inspired custom cocktails, wines AND bourbon bar! You can even build your own Old Fashioned! Their deserts are mouth watering, try their Cream Cheese Brownie or their Salted Chocolate Cake!
