Plan A Day Trip to Magnolia Market at the Silos- Waco, TX

Naturally, I think everyone relates Waco, Texas  to Chip & Johanna Gaines. Popular for their television show Fixer Upper on HGTV, Chip and Johanna have turned their business’ headquarters into a tourist attraction bringing new tourism to the little-ish Texan town of Waco.

Magnolia Market at the Silos features a two city- block wide market and bakery on the grounds of an old oil company. The history behind the silos is charming and the market is exactly what would imagine aesthetically from Chip and Johanna. The couple has built an empire from the ground up- from flipping houses to expanding their brand nationwide with Magnolia Baking Co.  and Hearth and Home, a Target exclusive home design line. But I’m sure you already know all about Chip & Johanna, which is why you should see the beautiful Magnolia Market at the Silos for yourself. Throughout the  year, Magnolia Market hosts several events such as Spring Weekend, Silobration and even a marathon where they invite several outside vendors to their fairgrounds. These events are beautiful, but can be super packed and hardly enjoyable. I recommend taking a day trip to the Silos on a non- event weekend or weekday to browse the market in peace.

Magnolia Market at the Silos features a garden feed and seed shop, food trucks, the Magnolia Bakery and of course the market (where you can also shop online). Street parking is easily accessible or you can take the trolly for an adventure! You can tour the silo grounds, visit the shops, enjoy snacks and beverages and hang out on the lawn- there is something for everyone at the silos (even pups!) They are also expanding this summer, I anticipate the grounds will look even more beautiful with Chip and Johanna’s unique style. #shiplap

Though Chip and Johanna do have a restaurant and antique store outside of the silo grounds, contrary to popular belief, Magnolia Market at the Silos is not the only destination in Waco! There’s plenty more to explore in a weekend or even tackling downtown Waco for the day if you’re up for a few snacks and shopping!
